 P H O T O S

The following photos/ pictures presented have been taken during the course of the holidays. These photos are significant as some of these photos are selected for the both the front and back covers of the DVD covers, as well as the two posters; England and France.

This picture was taken on the bridge, opposite the London Eye. It is significant as it captures the everyday life of London, and the atmosphere in which it is positioned. A monochrome colour pallet was selected to convey a more authentic and original aspect of London.
A photo of the iconic London Bridge was taken for the back cover of the film DVD cover, to allow an audience to engage with the narrative, especially location, in which the film is set, allowing consumers to somewhat relate or identify themselves within the film.
The photo of London Buses were taken just outside Westminster. The red London buses are significant in their symbolic aspect, as they represent London and what they stand for. The London Transport is a major part of London, and by allowing such an image on the back cover, allows an audience to identify the films location and potentially apply the image and location of London to their own lives.

These two images of London in black and white monochrome pallet, reflect the fact just like people's lives, London itself is timeless. This aspect of time, has a significant impact on ones every day life, thus by selecting such images, captures the aspect of nature. The concept of time is apparent throughout the narrative of the film, therefore an intertextual reference allows a subtle connection.

PHOTOS TO BE FEATURED ON POSTER ONE

The image of the feather, is to feature on the first poster for England. The black and white colour pallet presents the authenticity, organic and original aspect of a relationship. The feather symbolises peace, purity and balance in ones life; themes all apparent within the narrative of the film.

This image taken, features an orange colour pallet, highlighting a season; autumn. This image connotes the theme of death, as autumn is a time where leaves are deteriorating in terms of their shape, as they fall of trees and die. This connotes the male and female protagonists relationship, one which started of strong, however with the release of a secret, leaves the relationship heading to deterioration.

The final of an image features neutral lighting, whilst being featured in a natural surrounding. The green, brown and white colours contribute to a neutral colour pallet.

PHOTOS TO BE FEATURED ON POSTER TWO

These photos presented, features a rope and two arms. It is an intertextual reference to the title itself; ' C O N F L I C T E D' and highlights the balance, struggle and fight which occurs between two people when they are in a relationship.

PHOTOS TO BE FEATURED ON THE FRONT COVER OF DVD COVER

One of the several images of a pair of eyes will be featured on the front cover of the DVD cover. The eyes are symbolic of the subject matter of the film; secrecy. Thus by selecting a pair of eyes to be on the front cover on the DVD cover, not only does it create a sense of suspense, it also engages the audience/ consumer with the DVD cover itself.

PHOTOS TO BE FEATURED ON THE BACK COVER OF DVD COVER

This photo of the male and female protagonist, depicts the narrative of the film. Satires and image, is a key theme explored in the narrative, with the idea that a relationship may not always seem like what it looks like on the exterior.

The image presented highlights the indecisiveness and uncertainty within a relationship, with the female protagonist appearing to capture the attention of the male protagonist. This image is an intertextual reference/ link with the title of the film;  ' C O N F L I C T E D' allowing some sort of link be made by the audience/ consumer.

These photos which have been selected, were photographed within Hyde Park. I aimed to experiment and explore different types of shots from low angle shots, to close up shots etc. to make the photos appear to have their own individual character and meaning.
