RADIO BROADCAST – RADIO 5
STUDIO

PRESENTER:
You are currently listening to Radio 5 at 9.00 am and I am pleased to announce a special guest… This director has received multiple nominations and has recently released their new movie; ‘C O N F L I C T E D’. Ladies and gentlemen give it up for Steven Orgel!!!!

Director:
Hi Jamie, thanks for having me, I’ve been buzzing to come into this radio station as I am in fact a dear friend of yours Jamie. Aside from the fact that I am here for a catch up, I do indeed have a new release of the film.

PRESENTER:
Steven could you please tell me a bit about your new film, and what particularly inspired you to make such a film…

Director:
Well ‘C O N F L I C T E D’ is based on reality, as it is based around my experience with a female companion. The film explores the complex dynamics in terms of relationships, whether it be in terms of friendship or romantically. The film features secrecy and the importance of communication, as it is this which draws both  Madison and Jordan apart from one another. The inspiration for the movie came from past experiences of high school and the observation of how people behaved with one another. I’ve always been fascinated about the concept of human interaction, and how it determines one’s fate, thus I wanted to incorporate an aspect of everyday life, to allow audiences to be able to relate with the film.

PRESENTER:
Steven nicely put! I feel that the concept of communication and dynamics between people is a very current topic to explore, as with the rise of social media, it can be argued that society has become immune to the importance of communication between people, and the impact human interaction has on one’s life decisions. Steven, can you tell audiences what they shall expect to see within this film…

Director:
Audiences can wait to expect to follow the journey of  Madison and Jordan. Within this journey there will be cries, laughter and fear, as the relationship and dynamics between the two, begin to change as a result of a secret, which divides the pair, and questions whether they have trust for one another.

PRESENTER:
Well I’m sure audiences will be more than happy to endure on the journey with these characters. On Thursday I actually saw on your twitter that you had tagged Will Smith in the movie, as an aspiration and began a hashtag, ‘#C O N F L I C T E D’ to allow the audience to share their own individual stories, on loss of friendships, conflicts and heartbreaks.

Director:
An extremely important project of the film was to ensure there was audience engagement at the forefront of the film. I wanted to start a discussion with the general public about communication and the way in which interactions affects every person one comes into contact with. By making this film, I hope to encourage people to speak up about problems and conflicts they have faced or are currently facing.

Hello and welcome to Radio 5 …. Where we are joined by Lisa, who is currently standing in London on the official red carpet, for the Film Four Awards. Lisa, tell as how it’s going on at the red carpet….

PRESENTER:
I am here in London today at the Film Four Awards, meeting the actors, directors and fans of the nominated films. These nominated films include ‘C O N F L I C T E D’  ,  ‘ T O R N’ ,  ‘C A M O U F L A G E’ and ‘ C A N D Y’. I must say the red carpet is bustling with screaming fans who have camped overnight to be able to attend the new film screenings, as well as being able to catch a glimpse of their favourite actors.

Studio:
Well it looks like the red carpet is thriving, have you caught up with any fans yet?

PRESENTER:
In fact, I have! I am here with Ben and Tom who have just come out of the screening for ‘C O N F L I C T E D’. What have you got to say about the film? Is it what you had expected or anticipated?
R E S P O N S E: The film was better than anticipated, with a combination of comedy, heart ache and fear. There is an unexpected plot twist, which allows the audience to interpret the message themselves. We find this really interesting as it allows the audience to somewhat contribute to the overall message.
PRESENTER:
That’s nice to hear, fans got what they had anticipated, not even better.
If we just move over here to the right, we have Sarah and Madison, who have just seen the main actors of the film. Girls what was your experience of meeting the main actors like?
R E S P O N S E:It was amazing, as we have been huge fans of theirs for years, so to finally meet them was a dream come true, as they have been inspirations of ours. They were both nice, as they asked us how we were and what we thought about the film.

Studio:
Whilst fans at the red carpet appear to have enjoyed the film screening, ‘The Times’ has rated the film 3.5 starts out of 5, quoting ‘Whilst tackling relevant topics such as the immunisation of human interaction, the film is simple in message’

In contrast to this, ‘The Times’ quotes this film is ‘A once in a life time experience, with the feature of transparent and relatable characters’.
It is fair to say ‘ C O N F L I C T E D’ has reached numerous people, and has had a long lasting impact on the ways in which one views relationships and treatment of fellow human beings, as realities of secrets, are enough to entirely tear two people apart.

PRESENTER:
With this said, audiences are more than welcome to see the film in cinemas now. Netflix has also introduced the film, allowing anybody to binge watch at anyplace and anywhere. Let’s give it up for Steven Orgel!

Thank you for coming in it was really appreciated!
